Maintenance
Maintenance is often underestimated. A shame! With the right treatment and timely maintenance, you can prevent problems. Heating pipes and the existing paint layer have to endure a lot due to influences of moisture, residues and mechanical stress. Regular maintenance ensures that the installation lasts longer, continues to give a good result and, at the end of the day, is financially attractive.
The function of painting heating pipes is multiple:
- Protection against rusting
- For more light and heat reflection
- Contributes to a longer service life of the installation
Painting is a profession. We therefore work with skilled painters, with precision and with good materials. How do we work? You can find out in the three steps below.
Perform maintenance in time
Do not wait until rust becomes visible. Perform maintenance before rust forms. Rust can be very difficult to stop.
Before applying new layers of paint, we first treat the existing pipes with sanding gauze. Depending on the pipe’s condition, we encapsulate with one or two new paint layers to prevent rusting through.
After sanding the pipes, a corrosion-resistant primer paint is applied. This paint not only protects the pipe from corrosion, but also ensures good adhesion with the subsequent coat. The finish paint.
This process cannot be automated because every horticultural project is different: pipes vary in length or cross-section, and every hanging system in the greenhouse is different.
Painting is a profession. Our specialised staff ensure the right layer thickness on the pipe and paint the pipe with minimal waste of paint.
The finish of the painted pipe must be of high quality. With no mess on equipment that does not need to be painted. We paint by hand, using a so-called paint wash hand that has been very effective for years.
